It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of United States Army Veteran, Freddie Ammons. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 1:00PM at Greater St. James AME Church, 367 Hungerford Road, Gray, Georgia 30132. The Rev. Michael Burney, Pastor will Officiate and serve as the Eulogist. Interment will follow and Cedar Ridge Cemetery, located at 111 Greene Settlement Road, Gray, Georgia 31032.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a beloved spouse, Linda Ammons, four children, Shelly Ammons, Frederick (Tomeka) Ammons, Charles Rozier, Jr., Jasmayne Scales, and six siblings, Samuel (Johnnie Mae) Ammons, Virginia Collins, Edna Watts, Paulette Ammons, Josephine Brisco, and Willie Mae Cornelius, three brothers-in-law, Seabrook (Wylene) Williams, and Michael Williams, and Lorenzo (Annie) Williams, two sisters-in-law, Vickie Bailey and Jacqueline Kindrick, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 2550 Shurling Drive, Macon, Georgia 31211, has charge of the arrangements.
