It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sonja Dean. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary of St. James C.M.E. Church, located at 1007 W.F. Ragin Drive, Perry, Georgia 31069. The Rev. Anthony B. Hayes, Pastor will Officiate. The Rev. Willie Wright will serve as the Eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at the Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church Cemetery, located at 182 Moss Oaks Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her children, Tawney Dean, Jamaul (Makeba) Dean, Jarvis Dean, and bonus son, Tracy (Shawanda) Dean, six grandchildren, Jarquez Frederick, Jessany Dean, Tarahji Neal, Anaya Taylor, Jamaul Dean, Jr., and Remi Dean, two great grandchildren, Jadore Frederick and Kai Frederick, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
