It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sandy Tanya Burney.  A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home located at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31206.  Interment to follow at the Cherry Blossom Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 2700 Midway Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052. Mrs. Burney leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband and son , Melvin and Sidney Burney; mother, Jannie Mae Mathews; siblings, Elizabeth (Charles) Coxton, Lisa Mathews, Sabrina (Donnie) West, Felenthean (Kathy) Mathews Sr., Stacey (Felecia) Mathews, David (Nathalie) Mathews, Renata Mathews, Franklin Mathews Jr., Donald Mathews, Michael (Connie) Mathews, Patrick (Sharon) Mathews, Danny Clyde, and Tammy (Kenny) Dugger-Collins and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.  Public viewing will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.  Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.
