It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Sammie Lee Stewart Sr. A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, the hour of 12:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church located at 368 Albany Annex Road, Americus, Georgia 31709. Reverend Dajoun Griggs Pastor, Reverend Norris Harris will serve as Eulogist.  Interment Services will follow at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 814 Thomas Mil Road, Plains, Georgia, 31780.  Repast will follow at Martha Stewart-Edwards house located at 506 Boo Crosby Rd. Smithville, GA, 31787.

Mr. Stewart leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion beginning with his life partner of 54 years, Rebecca Ann Shaw-Stewart, Children, Bobby Nicholes, Angela D. Ponders, Synthia L. Stewart, Sammie Stewart Jr. (Cherisse), Christopher Stewart (Allana), his beloved sister, Martha Stewart-Edwards, Sister-in-Laws, Reatha M. Sims-Stewart, Edith Shaw-Turner; Brother-in-Law, Ernest Shaw; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
