Lillie Bell (Strong) Braswell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lillie Bell Braswell.  A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home located at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31206. Pastor Wilbur Greene will officiate. Interment Services will follow at New Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery located at 676 Damascus Church Road, Gray, Georgia 31032. Lillie lived a full life and loved sharing her stories of the rich culture of her family and community. She was the main storyteller for Stories That Bind Us, Inc., a nonprofit that was created in her honor. Stories That Bind Us, Inc. was created to help people to share and cherish family stories. Storytelling is a way that a family can learn about their heritage and create a legacy for generations to come. She was preceded in her transition by her elder sisters, Ozzie Strong (Sweet) and Lucille Sparks (Good); brothers, Clifford Strong (Tamp), and William Strong (Eddie). She leaves to cherish her memory, six children- Earnest (Elizabeth) Strong, Joseph (Gwendolyn) Strong Jr., Mary Greene (Crosby) Thomas, Leroy (Teresa) Strong, Ronnie Strong, Patrice Strong-Register(Bruno); brother, Robert (the late Elaine) Strong (Scrap), twenty- three grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four bonus children, Keunta Braswell, Kevin Schochat, Gerin Schochat Ballard and Sheila Schochat, and a host of beautiful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Public viewing will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. The family is requesting everyone to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.
