It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Mr. Joe Lewis Stubbs, who transitioned peacefully on April 8, 2025, at the age of 79. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Oak Level Missionary Baptist Church, located at 439 Lake Joy Road, Kathleen, Georgia 31047. Rev. Keith Milton, Pastor of Midway Baptist Church of Ocilla, Georgia will Officiate and Serve as the Eulogist. Interment will follow at Oak Level Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, located off Thompson Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Joe was known for his kind spirit, infectious smile, and the remarkable ability to make anyone feel like family. He was a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger, Joe made an impression that lasted a lifetime. He truly was everyone’s favorite.
Born as one of 17 children, Joe grew up surrounded by the importance of family, faith, and community. He carried those values with him every day of his life. To him, his family was everything — his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and the center of his world.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Stubbs and Evelyn Stubbs; siblings Viola Sanders, Eugene Stubbs, Christine Mason, Lonnie Stubbs, Elizabeth Nealy.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 59 years Mary; four loving daughters Felecia (Rodney), Sharon, Wendy (Gerald), Brittany; cherishing grandchildren Christi (Andrew), Kevin, Nykera, Demarian, Keyauna, Tamia, Tristan; one great-grandchild Chloe, loving siblings, Sam Stubbs, Mary Grace (Johnny), Martha Grace (Robert), Mildred Grace (James), Robert Stubbs, Helen Stubbs, Lucille Lane (Donnie), Marie Lowe (Elijah), Dianne Plummer (Ronnie), Sylvia Stubbs, Gladys Stubbs, James Porter (Ida), Horace Porter; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Joe’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy of love, laughter, and strength will never be forgotten.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home, located at 4000 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.
