It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James Edward Monroe, Sr. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00AM at Patterson Memorial Cemetery, located at Old Wire Road, Laurel Hill, North Carolina 28351. 

Mr. Monroe leaves to cherish his loving memories: a loving and devoted wife, Stacey Monroe; three children, James E. (Candace) Monroe, Jr., Trina Monroe and Joshua Jarrell; stepchildren, Khelsyei (Chris) Smith, Ayvea Star Golden and Timothy Johnson, Jr.; sister, Mamie Monroe (Bobby Wayne) Allen and a host of other relatives and friends.  A wake service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home located 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31206.

A public viewing will be held, Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at McPhatter Funeral Home located at 9701 Malloy Avenue, Laurel Hill, North Carolina 28351. Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangement.
