Deaconess Bessie Hicks Burnette

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deaconess Bessie Hicks Burnette.  A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1:00PM at Bibb Mt. Zion Baptist Church located at 3268 Avondale Mill Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.  Pastor Paul Little II will serve as the Eulogist.  Interment to follow at the Good Samaritan Society Cemetery.  Deaconess Burnette was a faithful member of Bibb Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served on various ministries for over 50 years until health declined.  Deaconess Burnette leaves to cherish her loving memories to her two devoted sons, Bernard (Katherine) Burnette and Gabriel (Heather) Burnette; sister, Annie F. Smith; granddaughters, Jasmine Burnette, and Gabrielle Burnette; great granddaughter, Peyton Smith; brother- in-law, Moses (Louise) Burnette; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Public viewing will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.  Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.
