Deacon Carlis Burnette

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deacon Carlis Burnette.  A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Bibb Mt. Zion Baptist Church located at 3268 Avondale Mill Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.  Pastor Paul Little II will serve as Eulogist.  Interment to follow at the Good Samaritan Society Cemetery. Deacon Burnette was a member of Bibb Mt Zion Baptist Church for over 50 years and served faithfully until his health declined.  Deacon Burnette leaves to cherish his loving memories to his devoted wife of 58 years, Bessie Hicks Burnette, sons, Bernard ( Katherine) Burnette and Gabriel (Heather) Burnette; brother, Moses (Louise) Burnette; granddaughters, Jasmine Burnette and Gabrielle Burnette; great granddaughter, Peyton Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Public viewing will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.  Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Services has charge of the arrangements.
