It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ann Lillian Ward. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Christian Baptist Church located at 600 Eisenhower Pkwy, Macon, Georgia 31206. Rev. Belvin Ware will serve as the eulogist. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located at 2005 Woodlawn Drive Macon, Georgia 31211.
On October 29, 2023, the Lord God called Mrs. Annie "Ann" Ward home to rest. She was born April 25, 1928 in Buena Vista, GA. and educated in the same community. She is the daughter of Charles and Elmon Wiley. She had four siblings that preceded her in death, a sister, Mable Murray, brothers, Charlie, Ernest, and "Little Buddy."
In 1946, she was united in holy matrimony to Robert Ward. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Smith Sr. She loved singing and was a member of the church choir. She also participated in the praise dance team and attended senior Sunday Bible study. She worked at the Macon Coliseum Hospital for 35 years. She loved her family and was a very strong mother for all of them.
Ann leaves cherished memories of her with children: Annie (Irvin) Whisby, James Ward, Kasheta Vann, Ernestine (Shannon) Whisby and Robert "Buddy" Ward who preceded her in death; granchildren; Tonya (Patrick) Mills, Petrice Brown, Dawn (Marcus) Robinson, Diona (Adrian) Clark, Natasha (Cason) Youngblood, Nicole (Jamal) Funches, T'erica Vann, Terrence Vann, Travoi Vann, Rob Ward, Cheon Ward, and Alliyah Ward; Murray family, and host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.
